Here are beautiful Thomas Kinkade pictures
I finally arrived Bangkok to attend my yongest brother engagement. My dad has been recovering well but then he fell back into smoking again, which cause his lungs to nearly collaps. After the incident, I realise that life is so very short, a few seconds of not being able to breath, we are already tranported to the realm of the death. He went to consult the heart and lungs specialist and they told him 2 facts. Either he wanted to die or to be alive, if he is still wanted to go on doing whatever he is doing, then he might as well just not ask for any more treatment nor medical attention.
This incident taught him to really not cheat himself by smoking, even if it is really reduced to his normal intake of nicotin. He is now on asthma pump because his lungs are just not strong enough to cope with the inhalation of smoke and nicotin and normal breathing. Right now my parents are in Malaysia over the Chinese New Year travelling with beloved friends. Hope this can detress them and help dad to see that we are concern of his wellbeing. Knowing it is not easy to just cut off the intake of nicotin, but then it is essential to keep him alive.
So, what am I doing in Bangkok ... (cannot find the question mark on the thai key board) I want to really consider and take time to think what is the next steps towards what God wants me to do this year. I am residing in my own appartment down town and it is a real blessing to be based on one place. My family around me has been very supportive and loving to encourage me to take this step in order to destress my self. So I have applied for a teacher training course here in Bangkok call CELTA and it enables me to teach english as a foreign language to adults and children world wide. So after the Cambridge center has approved my pre application, I am invited for an interview and then God-s willing, I plan to join in the new classes in early Feb 09. The duration of the course is 4 weeks, which for the long term is a good investment.
Will update more.....
